The last time you were at the Olive Garden enjoying some of your favorite food, I bet you were saying, I wonder how they make this. And wouldn't you love to be able to make this at home, I know I would. I have even gone home and tried to put something similar together, but it didn't turned out very well. lol Each time I would go back I would again try to figure out how I could make this.
As much as you enjoy going out to dinner now and then, it does become expensive and even more so if you have children. Let's face it, wouldn't you like to go out to dinner more than once a month? Personally I could eat out several times a week, but unfortunately things like bills get in the way of me doing that haha
Besides sitting at a restaurant is not quality family time, with the noise and distractions, something that our modern day world is missing. I truly believe in a family having dinner together as much as possible. I know with the hustle and bustle my life and probably yours as well, that can be difficult to do every evening, but I try to do it at least 3 nights a week. This is such an important time for everyone, enjoying dinner together and talking about the events of the day.
Now you can have the best of both worlds with the Olive Garden copycat recipes cookbook, your favorite restaurant recipes and that all important family time. Plus you don't have to have a chef. These are simple, easy to prepare meals that taste virtually identical to the original restaurant recipes.
Next time your family or friends come over they will be impressed when you cook their favorite meals with the copycat recipes and you will save a lot of money. Here is a sample recipe:
Fettuccine Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup milk ... 1 1/2 cup heavy cream ... 1/2 cup imported Parmesan cheese, grated ... 1/2 cup imported Romano cheese, grated ... 6 egg yolks from fresh jumbo eggs ... Salt and black pepper to taste
1. HEAT milk and cream in a heavy bottom saucepan until it begins to simmer. Turn off heat. Slowly whip in cheese, then remove from heat. 2. PLACE egg yolks in a separate bowl and slowly whip in a portion of the hot milk and cream mixture. Slowly add egg yolk mixture back into remaining cream mixture. Place back on very low heat and continually stir until simmering. Take sauce off heat so it thickens. (This will increase temperature of egg yolks, known as tempering). 3. SEASON to taste with salt and black pepper. Serve over your favorite pasta.
Enjoy!
Chicken Marsala
This is one of the most popular recipes available at the Olive Garden . Needless to say it's one of my favorites as well. Now, even though the flavors provided by this dish are deceptively complex, the recipe is actually rather simple to make in your own kitchen without the help of a chef. Take the time and put together some Chicken Marsala for yourself and your family. You won't regret the decision to make this one a regular at your dinner table. Here you can find many more recipes from the Olive Garden and other famous restaurants.
