WALT DISNEY CRUISES

 

The Walt Disney Cruises are special cruises conducted exclusively by the cruise ships of the Walt Disney company, being the very first cruise line in the industry who has the special aim to become a family cruise line.

 

Walt Disney Company currently operates two similar ships, the Disney Wonder and the Disney Magic . Out of the two ships the Disney Wonder is the one which operates the 3 Night and 4 Night Bahamian cruises while the Disney Magic operates the 7 Night Caribbean cruises together with the European cruises.

 

With main ports in Florida and in the Bahamas, where the homeport is to be found at Cape Canaveral, the main routes of the cruises also concentrate on these destinations, offering several stopovers at various Carribean islands, including Disney’s own  the Castaway Cay.

 

All Walt Disney Cruises are specifically designed to suit the needs of all age groups, with all their facilities, activities and various programmes offered on their ships.

 

Walt Disney Cruises offer 5 main types of cruises:

 

  • Land and Sea Vacations
  • Caribbean Cruises
  • Bahamian Cruises
  • European Cruises
  • Special Cruises

 

Land and Sea Vacations Cruises: 7 Night cruises with the main feature of spending 3 or 4 nights at a chosen Walt Disney resort  and the remaining 3 or 4 nights on board.

 

Carribean Cruises :7 Night cruises offering two main routes to choose from:

The Eastern route includes three variations: St. Martin , St. Croix or Tortola as main attractions, all variations with stopovers at Key West, Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay.

 

The Western route has two versions on routes, one of which includes  two  stopovers at Castaway Cay, and both of them offering stopovers at Key West, the Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

 

The Bahamian Cruises are 3 to 5 Night cruises with Nassau as the main attraction. The 5 Night versions operate on two routes. One route offers a stopover at Key West, the other one offers one additional stopover at Castaway Cay.

 

European Cruises have three main categories to choose from  :

 

The Meditarrenean Cruises are either 10 Night or 11 Night long cruises, all offering stopovers in Spain, France and Italy including Barcelona, Marseilles , the French Riviera, Naples and Rome as main stopovers.  

 

The Dover-Barcelona Cruise is a 7 Night cruise , offering two versions on route  , either From Barcelona to Dover or the contrary. Each variation includes stopovers at Gibraltar, Cadiz and Lisbon.

 

The Nothern European Cruise is a 12 Night cruise, operating from Dover, including the visiting of famous Northern European capitals such as Oslo,Copenhagen, Warnemünde, St. Petersburg and Stockholm with a stopover at either Helsinki or Tallin.

 

 

 

Special Cruises

 

Special cruises offer seasonal 14 Night Transatlantic Cruises operating on two main routes, an Eastbound and a Westbound one. The Eastbound route starts up from the Canary Islands with Castaway Cay as destination port. This route offers stopovers in Gibraltar and Barcelona. The Westbound route however includes stopovers at Barcelona, Cadiz and Tenerife.
