I have put together a list here of some of my favorite one-hit wonders. A one-hit wonder is a singer or a band that received stardom with just one song. Usually that stardom was short lived.

Scroll down and check out some of the music.

One of my favorite one-hit wonders was Terry Jacks doing Seasons in the Sun.It was released in 1974. He released a few other songs, but none prospered like this one.

Do you remember 1955? Have you heard of the Penguins? Well, I'm sure you have heard their one-hit wonder. Released in 1955 was Earth Angel. A beautiful song you hear on the airwaves even today.

Here's another song I could just listen to all day long.It was released in 1968 by a band called Merrilee Rush & the Turnabouts. Do you remember them? Bet not! Their song was Angel of the Morning. Both the Pretenders and Juice Newton did versions of it.

Another one-hit wonder I really had a liking for was One Tin Soldier. Done by a band named Coven,it was released in 1971. It was the main song for the movie Legend of Billy Jack. Billy Jack was one of my heroes.

Coven

Do any of you remember Bobby McFerrin? His one-hit wonder hit the airwaves hard and fast. I'm sure you will all remember his music. Released in 1988 was his song Don't worry,Be Happy. It seemed like I would hear that song 20 times a day.

Classic Yo-Yo Classic Yo-Yo

Last, but not least, I cannot leave out Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus. I just couldn't believe this song made it so far up the charts. It was downright funny!

Dancing to Achy Breaky Heart

Hope you enjoyed my taste of music. These one-hit wonders sure take you back. Comment on ones I may have missed that you enjoy!!

Loved the one hit wonders, but the dog dancing was amazing. Having been through training with my hunting dog, I can really relate to how much training is needed to get that dog to do that. Dogs are so smart, really. Great HUB, thanks.
