One Piece: Unlimited Adventure

Created for Nintendo Wii, One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is based on the anime series- One Piece- that released in Japen in 2007. The game released in the United States in January 2008.

Following the anime series Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper battle enemies, catch fish and insects, and hide out in a cave. Their adventure starts when the three waste all of their supplies and have to fish to restock until they reach the island. Luffy catches an orb instead of a fish, which activates, causing an island to appears underneath the Sunny.

Luffy, then, crashes on the island, and is separated from the rest of his crew. After searching and finding the seven members, they then discover that the island holds a mystery. They, also, realize that there's a strange rabbit-like creature who wants nothing more than to get the orb and protect the island's seals.

The orbs on the island have the power to activate memories, so as you find each crew member, you are able to see their past when they joined the crew. And, when you reach each seal, you will encounter either an enemy or friend from the past after you see their encounter with the Straw hats.

One Piece Unlimited Adventure Tips

10 Hits Combo

You aren't able to do this at the beginning of the game, at least until you unlock most of the attacks.

For example: In order to do Luffy's 10 Hits Combo: A + AA + AAA + swing your Wii remote + AA + AAA + swing your Wii remote + AAA + swing your Wii remote + swing your Wii remote

Note: When you get to the point where you have to swing your Wii remote, you should pause just a second, otherwise, if you don't get the combo right, you won't be able to continue.

Nami's Charge Attack

In order to Nami's Charge Attack, you have to learn her Jump Attack First. Once she learns her Jump Attack, you have to jump and hold the 'A' Button in order to release a cloud. After she lands, make sure to face the cloud and hold 'A' Button for just a second. Then, release 'A' button for a Charge Attack. You'll be able to a attack enemies between you and the cloud.

OP and Your Blue Orb

Activating an OP with your Blue Orb will open a new path for a new area so that you can advance. In order to activate an OP, you have to charge your Blue Orb. If you hear an OP sound, but you don't see an OP around, you can try one of these methods:

  1. Destroy all the flowers, grass, and rocks nearby (For Piranha Plants, use Low Fire Napalm, Super Napalm, or Flame Shells in order to destroy them)
  2. If you see a "X" symbol on the ground, take out your Pick Axe and dig at it.

OP Charging Tips

OP 1 (Blue): Blue Fruit

OP 2 (Green): Green Leaf, Large Leaf, Long Ivy, Coconuts, and other related plants

OP 3 (Red): Red Fruit, Fire type fishes, Explosive Rock Fragment

OP 4 (Black): Handy Rocks, Steel Stones, Brown Fruit, or Clay

OP 5 (White): Mysterious Eggs, Ice Shards, Fluffs, Spider Webs

OP 6 (Gold): Golden Egg, Golden Whale, Golden Fruit, Golden Hercules

One Piece Unlimited Adventure Help

Insect Catching Tips

Follow these steps:

  1. Pull out your net.
  2. Hit the 'Z' Button in order to lock on to the insect you want to catch.
  3. Walk slowly towards the insect. Try not to make any noises.
  4. When you get close enough to the insect, swing your Wii remote downwards, and you should be able to the insect easily.

Note 1: Each character requires different distance between him and the insect. Chopper has the shortest reach, and Franky has the longest reach. Use your own judgement in regards to distance.

Note 2: To catch insects on flowers, it's easier to swing your Wii remote sideways.

Fishing Tips (pt 1)

To catch a fish, follow these tips:

  1. Find a fishing dock
  2. Take out your fishing rod.
  3. Hold down the 'A' Button, and swing your Wii remote forward. Then release the 'A' Button.
  4. When your screen displays "Hit", swing your Wii remote up and hold the 'A' Button at the same time.
  5. The fish may move left or right, so you need to pay close attention to the direction the fish is moving. If it moves left, move your remote to your left and adjust your Wii remote until it stops vibrating, and vice versa if the fish moves to the right.
  6. Repeat step 5 and 6 until you are able to catch the fish.

While fishing, your fishing rod's power will drop under the following conditions:

  • When you hold the 'A' button too long.
  • When the fish moves.

Make sure to pay close attention to your fishing rod's power. When the power drops below 50%, release the 'A' button and wait for it to go back up. Once the power is close to maximum, hold the 'A' Button again.

Fishing Tips (pt 2)

In order to get your fishing rod to stretch a far distance, follow these tips:

  1. Instead of swinging your Wii remote downwards, hold it pointing straight up to ceiling.
  2. Hold the 'A' button.
  3. Shake your Wii remote, quickly, from left to right, then right to left.
  4. Repeat step 3 a few more times.
  5. After a few shakes, you can release the 'A' button when your remote reaches your far left or right. But, continue to shake until the bobber lands.

Stealing from Enemies

You can try one of two ways.

  1. You can use your net to hit an enemy before stealing an item from them.
  2. Nami's dash attack.

Note: stealing doesn't always work, but it increases the chance of getting rare drops.
