One way links are the highest quality a website can receive. But how do you get them? There are many ways to go about receiving one way links.

Press Releases

- This is one of the most overlooked opportunities by website owners. Write a press release and submit it to as many press release organizations you can find. Do this when your website opens, when you release a product, hold a contest, or write an essay on your industry.

Ask the Community

- Friends with others in your industry? Ask them to look over your website and see if they like anything. Hopefully they will and give you a free link.

Directories

- Directories are the easiest way to receive one-way links. Get your blog or website listed in DMOZ and Yahoo. Then, work on finding small, free directories. Although, don't fall for the reciprocal linking directories, find completely free niche ones.

Article Directories

- Writing articles is another great opportunity for websites and blogs to gain exposure. Some great directories include, EzineArticles, GoArticles, HubPages, and Squidoo. Remember, write original content. Don't try ripping off someone else's work.

Guest Posting

- Find websites with the popularity near yours. If they accept guest posts, send one in. Always send in your best article! This is how you will gain exposure to new visitors. If they like what you say, they will visit your blog or website.

Social Media

- Social media may be perhaps the best way to gain traffic in a short period of time. However, it is also a great resource for quality one-way links. Get to the front page of a social news website and you will possibly receive hundreds of free one-way links.

Nonetheless, other social media is just as good. If you are a member of social networking website, add your link to your profile for a free link.
