One of My Favorite Dayton Communities - Houses with 1 Plus Acres In Bellbrook OH

One of my favorite communities in the Dayton area is Bellbrook, which offers Houses with 1 Plus Acres In Bellbrook OH. I have to tell you that one of the reasons I like the Bellbrook area is because it is full of wonderful childhood memories for me. My grandparents owned 9 acres of land on Ferry Rd many years ago. As a child, my cousins and I would play in the Sugarcreek Reserve during the summer. I also shot archery in my first tournament with my Dad at the Bellbrook Archery Range. Unfortunately, the archery range has been removed; however, its removal has created more trails for horseback riding for the community. On hot summer days we would go to downtown Bellbrook for ice cream and maybe pick up some onion sets for Grandma Shurts at the corner hardware store (the building still stands, but the hardware business is gone).

As an adult today, I still enjoy Bellbrook for some of the same reasons. Sugarcreek Metropark, a Five Rivers Metro Park, is still a favorite places to hike with my children or to walk the dog. The reserve is one of only a few places in the Dayton metropolitian area to have horse trails for riding and a riding center. I still like ice cream so the Dairy Shed is still a regular stop for me and my family on a summer evening.

As a Realtor, I appreciate the diversity in the Bellbrook housing market. You can find an older brick 3 bedroom ranch between $100,000 and $150,000. Luxury homes are also available from the $500,000 to $1,000,000. Bellbrook has protected the feel of the old downtown by keeping national chain restaurants and stores near I-675 and Wilmington Pike. The township has place restrictions on lot sizes for new construction and development to protect the area from over development and urban sprawl. The City of Bellbrook is one of only a few cities in Ohio that does not have a personal income tax. So if you are looking for a home in the Greater Dayton area that is in the country but close enough to the city and shopping, Bellbrook may be the place for you!
