Are you wanting to supplement your income and make some extra money online? Of course you do... But how do you go about it? and more importantly how do you go about doing it without getting ripped off?

Well i hope to share with you a few tips and ideas that can help steer you in the right direction.

Making money online IS very much possible, and if you are just starting out in the online money making world, a little vigilence and solid information before you start is important. It can save you a lot of dissapointment and frustration, as well as time and money.

There are a number of ways to make money online... if you type in the words "make money online" or "make money on the internet" into any search engine, you will no doubt be bombarded with multiple websites all vying for your attention.

Where do you go? who do you trust?

Well believe it or not, most of these websites can make you money, but there are many that do not and there are scammers waiting to take your cash.

I will tell you how i know that this is a website that is worth avoiding..... I am a member..Actually this was the first site that i joined when i started to look for ways to make money online... using this site as an example i will tell you exactly what to look out for when you are searching on the internet for online money making programs.

Dont buy into these programs... i will tell you why.

So you have had a chance to read the page. Now i will point out why this (among many others) is exactly the kind of online money making program to avoid.

• The phrase "Enter simple data from home" is misleading. If you have never made any money online before you may not realise that this is simply an adwords guide. Adwords are the paid advertisements on the right hand side of a google search results page. you do not need to pay for this information at all.
• making $30,000 in one month is completely unrealistic for a person who is new at making money online. I dont make that much, but i know others who do, and they have taken the time to learn the correct methods and put a lot of hard work and time to earn such a huge amount. This website makes it look like you will make that much as soon as you join.
• It uses urgency as a call to action, they claim the price will go up if you do not act right away... i gurantee that the price will be the same if you checked back in 6 months time.
• Dont listen to website testimonials... The testimonials on this site "could" be genuine... however there is just as much chance that they are made up from the website owners imagination.

The "companys" that are mentioned are simply clickbank merchants. People who have created websites or ebooks who wish you to sell for them. If you sell one of their products you will get a cut of the profit. This is called "affiliate marketing"

Here is another one that i felt i should mention. I have not had any particular experience with this website but its one that i read and thought i could do without.

This website really is a money making opportunity, however to actually find out what it is, you need to pay for it. This is whats known as an "Advanced Fee Scam" Where you have to pay for more information before you have to play again to join.

This is totally uneccesary, and is just another way for someone to make a quick buck without really telling you anything. Its one to be avoided.

Well i cant answer that question... it really comes down to common sense, but here are a few things you should look out for.

• If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Dont listen to money making programs that promise instant or overnight success, especially if you are new. You CAN make money online... and a lot of it, but it will happen gradually....
• Look for independent reviews, if there are a lot of people saying that a particular program works, chances are it does. Do not listen to the testimonials on the website itself.
• You dont need to pay for information regarding what the program is. Everything you need to know should be on the sales page, remember the advanced fee scam.
• Look for an unconditional money back gurantee... if the website owner has nothing to hide then they will be confident in their program and offer you a gurantee.
• Also make sure when you pay that the merchant takes payments through a secured server such as paypal or clickbank.

I have been using the internet to make money since 2004, and I do very well for myself... am i millioniare? sadly... no... but i do lead a very comfortable life thanks to the internet.

My advice to you, is to use trusted sites that have made me money and that caters to someone who has no experience in the making money online business (Many of those out there assume you know more than you really do, which right away leads to a path of frustration) Two of the best reveiw style pages are listed below, check them out.

Why do they work? Because as i have mentioned, they have you in mind and they care about the progress you make. All you have to do to be succesful is implement the ldeas presented. It will take work, it will take persistence... but if you are willing to put the effor i, you will start making money online.
