What Does 'Stream Online Movies' Mean and How Can You Do It?

Streaming basically refers to a constant 'stream' of information being sent from a website provider to you on your computer. It just means that rather than sending a full length movie to you as a download, or placing it on a webpage to be watched through some kind of media player, the media that you want to watch is sent to you as you watch (actually it will be sent a bit before you are watching so that there is a buffer that stops the actual viewing from being interupted if the information flow is slowed down for some reason) so that your computer is really working in a very similar way to how your television works, picking up a steady signal from a broadcaster - only now it is being broadcast online over the internet rather than over the airwaves. Any kind of content, such as radio, television and movies can be sent to you via this kind of online stream.

There are loads of providers with different ways that you can set up an online movie stream, or do the same thing for streaming tv. You can set up a one off order, and if you are just interested in a specific thing, like being able to watch a top pay-per-view sports match live on your home computer then this is probably the best way for you to go. Just go to your favourite search engine and type in the name of the event you want and then also type 'stream online' next to it in the box, click search, and you are bound to find somewhere providing coverage.

But if you are interested in more than just one event then your best bet by far is to join a website that offers unlimited viewing to its members. Even if you only stream a couple of movies in the end, it will still be cheaper for you. A decent service isn't at all expensive and you will get access to a huge selection of

  • TV Shows
  • Movies
  • Sports Events
  • Radio
  • Music Videos

My recommendation is to take a look at StreamOnlineMovies which offers all of these at a very cheap price. Just click the link to get instant access.

I am not clear if I totally understand the full thought pattern behind this.

With the increasing popularity of video sharing websites, like YouTube, Blip, Break, Daily Motion, to name a few, I think most people are fairly familiar with the idea of streaming video, whether they've actively thought about it or not.

What's really interesting is that because such sites often have a limitation on uploads, for example the running time of the video file, or the size, most videos on these sites are pretty short, usually ten minutes or less. For this reason, YouTube was the perfect site for sharing music videos (which of course, resulted in lawsuits from companies such as Viacom, for profit-sharing purposes). Some users have uploaded full length feature films, divided into multiple ten-minute segments. However, my hypothesis is that the advent of such video sharing sites will be a springboard for the increasing popularity of short films, specifically independent short films, from filmmakers who take advantage of social media and Web 2.0 tools to sidestep the gatekeepers of the old guard in the film industry, gaining more exposure through online networking and new media resources. More filmmakers, more short films, more distribution channels, more viewers, and so on.
