Hubpages and Online Publishing
77Articles on the Internet are considered published material. A great place to begin is hub pages, and it's rather easy to do. Online publishing may seem challenging but it really isn't. Just follow these simple steps.
1) sign into Hub pages. Just get your account up and running and then fill in the needed information and find the button on the top right hand side that says "start a new hub" click it. then take a moment. Think. What should you write about?
2) Title of the Hub. Make it simple and clear. It's hard to find online publishing of value, and often names of a title ring a bell. If you're a beginner, name recognition won't work. If you're Duchess O'Blunt, or Scott.Life or people who have published here a while, well that's different.
3) Begin to write. Now, some might suggest to pick a photo, but I find that it's simpler to write and enjoy the process by writing first. Relax, you're are now going to do some online publishing. write and then write some more, about 300 words is a good start any thing less and people will either skim or not read it at all. No more than say about 1,500 words in my mind, as you could do two or more from anything more. Unless of course people will know that this is something of value.
4) Spell check, for the love of all that is right, spell check, there is a little button below the capsule subtitle that looks like and "ABC" and a check mark. Hit that button it will check your spelling. Read it over.Out loud. Remember this is an article, and it's online publishing, and you never know who might read it. (An editor for one!)
5) Once this is done hit the publish now button. There, your article is now published online. Good job! Your hub is now published, and you have published an article online.
Simply remember this one little thing, writing a blog, and writing on hubpages, and writing online is all the same. You are publishing online. It's all the same you are sending out your voice and your writing, and be proud that you done this! You've done a great job and it will get better!
If you write a blog the idea is the same, you make it fun and interesting and clear, very clear, try not to make it hard to understand for everyone and for the regular readers. Clarity and passion are a part of the life of a writer.
Just follow these simple steps and have fun.

Great advice - especially about the spell check. I read over some of mine and found typos - clearly I had forgotten to check the spelling!
Straight to the point. Nice Job!
Good advice. not only the beginner, an old hubbers like me also need your advice
I certainly hope this helps everyone, but sometimes it is confusing for beginners.
You have presented a simple way to get started. I think this will be useful.
Spellcheck is my friend most of the time. I have a real problem with fragments though. Obviously ;)
Spell check is great as well as reading out loud.
james, I have to say thanks, you have such wonderful hubs as well.
Write and then write some more. You are so right. I tend to still read more than I write but the more I get into it the more my confidence grows.
sometimes reading is good but then writing is always better once the reading is done!
