Well, its another day and time to look at two new games that I thought were quite good.

The first game in the spotlight is Paint Wars , Which is a unique artistic game that requires no artistic talent. Its made by one of my favorite flash authors, Coolio Niato and like all his games is unique and fun to play. The premise of the game is simple, you use your marker to try to cover all the shapes on the screen in your color before enemies painting tanks and planes can spill the shapes to turn their color. You can click on the enemies to kill them to prevent them from coloring the shapes to their color. It sounds easy but is amazingly addictive. What the game boils down to is reaction time -- how fast you can scribble your mouse across the screen and how fast you can click on enemies. There are many levels to the game and the later levels are quite challenging as the enemies get more numerous. If your looking for an easy time waster that is action packed, you should definately give this a try.

The second game in the spotlight is one of the best adventure series ever put together for Flash, known as Fancy Pants Adventures 2 , which is basically an action/adventure platformer involving a stick figure. It is made by Brad Borne, the creator of the original fancy pants and author of other hot games such as Nuclear Eagle. This is quite an amazing platformer that will kill hours of time and keep you intrigued for many days on end. There are many adventures and each has a different quest to achieve. The game starts off with a bit of a tutorial on how to control your character but then sets you off on many small quests. I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment and look forward to playing this new installment and seeing what it has to offer. This game is good for casual play but will keep even a hardcore gamer entertained for quite some time. I believe it will be one of the best games of the year.

One hint: Push up to go through the initial door to start the game, it took me a while to figure that out.
