Only Love - A Poem About Missing a Loved One
60
A distant drum within myself, that beats without repute.
Your voice a whispered symphony that wakes my heart, once mute.
A dream that shall unburden me from wounds dug deep inside.
A face that haunts my memory, two worlds that must collide.
The stars we see in unison, reside to keep repose
Until the dawn of clarity whence all our fears dispose.
I wait for you my own sweet hope,
I wait for you and stay
Beside your soul and present touch
Till only love remains.
