Open Google Notebook in Firefox Sidebar
71Google Notebook is like an online diary -- you can use it as note-taking tool or you can use it to write your daily thoughts. Google also provides an extension for Firefox by which it opens a small window when you click the Google icon at the bottom of the browser window.
Mitchell wanted something more than this small window and something that also allows flexibility in opening and closing windows. So he created a sidebar feature for Google Notebook. He modified the Google personalized homepage widget for Google Notebook and added it to the sidebar of Firefox as shown in the picture below:
Firefox with Google Notebook Sidebar
Follow these steps to create a sidebar for Google Notebook.
1. Create a new bookmark by right clicking your mouse and select “Bookmark this link” for this web address. (Suggestion - Save this link in your Bookmark toolbar for easy access) 2. Right click on that new bookmark and select “properties”
3. Check the box where it says “Load this bookmark in sidebar”.
You are done. Now, when you click this new bookmark, a Google Notebook will appear on your sidebar. You can copy and paste the content for later reference, or you can add any notes you like. It is very convenient and much better than opening a new browser tab or window to open Notebook.Share it! — Rate it: up down [flag this hub]

most definitely useful...
Thanks;)
It is useful to save recipes and other tips. :)
I have a notebook in Opera, but with this, I can save my notes in cyberspace, cool! Thanks!
Hi Kenny, yes it is easy to have this. I have it in my Bookmark Toolbar, whenever I need it I click it, it opens as a sidebar, we can adjust its size. Better than Google Notebook Extension, which is too small and sometimes makes the Firefox crash.
Still too much technology for me, I'm still in the I can turn the computer on and use it as a "typewritermode". I have way too much to learn yet. Thanks for trying to make it more understandable...
