Dear Mr. President,

Greetings from the Schank Family from North Carolina. I want you to know that just about every day I call out your name in prayer. No, I do not agree with most of what you are doing, but I think enough of you and the office you fill to pray that you would allow God to direct your steps. I know that your staff, who read this, will write it off as junk. That is okay, but please know that you are prayed for.

Please allow me to share my thoughts... (I am not trying to be armchair quarterback)

I woke up this morning and caught the headlines. It looks as though, the country has spoken in more ways than one. You have to know that the mood of this country is not leaning your direction. Why do you keep pushing ahead? Your vision for this country is shared by relatively few. Why do you persist? Why do you keep moving forward on issues you know very few really endorse?

You have been called many names in the last several years. Some of those names are derived from policy you endorse. Yet, you distance yourself from those stigmatized names. If you believe in socialism, then be what you are! If you want to be a king, then say it. Giving you the benefit of the doubt on the health care issue, I can see that you want to be remembered as one who could help people. I will give you that. However, you KNOW that you are encouraging the demise of this nation. There is absolutely no way that our country can pay for revamp of health care the way you propose. It has far reaching ramifications that you are publicly denying. You know the truth about it and are failing to disclose it. Why are you doing that?

It is a well known fact by every leader, that there are times when your policy is not popular. Depending upon the type of leader you are is how you proceed. The tendency to shove ahead reveals a flagrant attitude. Yes, you have traveled far and wide to explain and share your burden on the issues, but you have not listened. A true leader, and I am learning this myself, will adjust for wind-age. He will back off for a while and then try again later. You have not let up one iota. This country does not want your agenda! They do not believe in it! YOU KNOW IT! You were elected through deception and racial politics, and YOU KNOW IT! You Hid Your Real Intentions On The Campaign Trail!

I am not trying to make you angry, but you are probably very upset by now. Take this as honest straight talk. You have insulated yourself with people who are lying to you. They are not giving you the right advice. It will be your Downfall! I want you to be successful as President. However, I DO NOT WANT YOUR AGENDA TO BE SUCCESSFUL! I feel that it is diametrically opposed to what we were constituted under.

Bottom line, Mr. President, change course. You are sailing in a bad storm anyway. With all of the foreign issues facing you, please abandon the plan for the domestic agenda. Listen to the "Main Street Public". They are smart, and should be treated as such. We feel like you think everybody is stupid and you and your cabinet have some level of incite beyond our comprehension. Even if you do not think this... it is the way everybody takes you!

Rethink what you are doing! The United States is being remade, and most do not like it. You and your type of people (Extreme Liberal) are going to keep pushing until someone breaks. Maybe that is what you all want so you can declare martial law and then you can be the dictators you want to be. I do not know... I sure do not want to think that is what you secretly desire, but you have to wonder.

I just wanted to share my thoughts. I feel most think what I think! Americans from all walks of life and political persuasions can help you be the best President ever. If this is to happen, then you will have to change course! WHY NOT LET US HELP YOU?

I could have sent a private letter, but I felt that this would get your attention! I hope your family is doing fine. I am sure your children are enjoying themselves. I know that mine would have a field day! If YOU have read this letter personally, then please respond to me via a letter from the White House. You know how to reach me! I have corresponded before under the previous administration so I know what to expect.
