Opening

a magic smile

a moment of clarity

a stirring

an opening

and when it comes will you go

ties to children

ties to husband

ties to work

tethered by responsibility

but the intrigue pulls

the zombie presses on with that old life

but this child nymph spirit is awakened

it darts about investigating

life is thrilling for it

so much here the zombie can not see

learning

the opening tears wide

the nymph pears through

dare it enter

so beautifully scary

it looks about for a smile to guide it

there is none

I feel the same way. I have been restless lately. I am going through more health problems, possibly a tumor in the pelvic area or scar tissue but pushing on the sciatic nerve......Horrendous pain and I am ready to fly. So much I want to see. Travel endlessly in Europe. Stay in small villages and do art. I have always done what I was "EXPECTED" to do. Never found my personal path, taking care of everyone , and still today with family and work. I am tired and need a change. Happy 43rd tomorrow. I love you. xs

Susie, You're less tied than me. Go! If you follow your passions and fill your soul you may find that your health issues dissapear once and for all! Have you read the Biology of Belief? You should. And you should go, really. A little "Eat, Pray Love" type therapy. I love you. And love the idea of you sitting in a little village painting. I Just got back from a girl trip to Costa Rica. That would be good for you too. Love and Light, p

i also love openings and the myriad of possibilities they present. i say go for it and don't restrain yourself. you'll never find out what's on the other side if you won't dare. and i hate what if's :D

Patricia, your poem speaks to me in ways I can't even talk about. So I'll just say great job, and happy (almost) birthday! :)

Its so easy for me to encourage others. Hard for me to do myself. What if's are almost as bad as regrets. But you must be a daring soul, quitting your 9-5 job and all.

"Dare to Enter."  That's a cool challenge.  You have a lot of intriguing, mystic imagery.

Always fun to dream... The mind does not have to always be tethered to the body. So if in fact you cannot escape due to obligations.......take a journey away in spirit. Your poem invites that and more.

If only I could astral travel! My tethers have loosened as of late. Perhaps I'll be able to peek through that veil after all.
