You are earning much less than you could if you have considerable traffic from different countries and/or have many blogs in your inventory. You should definitely start your own ad server for doing your online efforts professionally.

The target of a website should be making the most money with every page visits it gets.

So, an example ideal ads setting would be;

Campaign Name : Best Selling Amazon Product A

Activation Date : Tomorrow 10:00 (It can be set to a future date)

When to show : Everyday between working US hours

Campaign Length : 90 days (The ads will be automatically expired in the system after 90 days)

Target Clicks : 50 (We could also define a target impressions to reach)

Placement : On Site A section 3, On Site C section 2 etc.

Target Country : Only show this ads to US visitors. (Because a visitor from France most probably will not buy anything from Amazon US. We should start another ads specially targeted for France in that case)

Impression for a Visitor : 3 (Some websites get many pageviews, so there is no reason to show same ads many times for the same user. In this example, the ads will be changed automatically with another in the inventory after 3 impressions per user)

Campaign Importance Weight : 3 (This ads will be shown 3 times more than an another ad defined for this space and target filters with a weight of 1)
