Oprius Review
73A User Friendly Contact Manager
In any home-based business, it falls to the owner - who's also the only employee - to keep track of customer communication. In starting my own business, I've been taking a look at all of the exciting advancements available on the Internet to help me maintain some semblance of contact information organization. I love iContact and want to talk more about it in the future, but before I get back to that, I'd like to talk about another option I found - Oprius.
Where iContact is a great site for getting on the Internet and seeing what others are doing - their community is second to none, in my opinion - Oprius is an excellent tool for those of you who have been in business for a while, or just about to break into serious customer management with your current customers.
Oprius provides landing pages you can customize when you want to capture leads, and they're pretty easy to modify and maintain. But where the site really shines is with its customer management features. There are several features that once you get your information stored in it can make for some really powerful marketing.
Like so many of us in this industry, you've probably got several different kinds of businesses up and running. With Oprius, you don't need to keep all your information separate - all of your contacts go into one place, and you simply label them as you see fit; you can even cross-reference your contacts so they are under a variety of categories. Then, if you want to send out an email or other communication to a specialized group, you can simply choose that group - all your names are there. You can even choose which of your own email addresses to send it from! That's a huge plus, in my book.
All emails and customer responses are logged through Oprius, and are archived within each individual profile. You can bring up any one profile and see a single snapshot of your entire contact history with that person. This is a great help when you're trying to personalize your emails as much as possible.
But, email is not the only thing it keeps track of. You can also enter phone numbers and any other contact information you have for your customers. There is also a handy notepad feature right on the screen so you can write down reminders while you're talking on the phone to remember for next time. This has been a lifesaver for me, who forgets things easily, more than once - and I don't have to remember to transfer the information later from a scrap of paper to the computer. It's saved automatically in that client's profile.
There are also other features, like calendars, action lists and follow-up alerts that ensure you never miss out on an opportunity for meaningful contact with your clients.
There is a fee for the Oprius service, even though it's a low price. But I've worked in places where they have in-house customer management software, and not only does it cost a fortune; it is unwieldy and there are too many features. Oprius has pared it down for use by individuals and small groups, and has an easy-to-use interface. I highly recommend it for any kind of business where your bottom line depends on quality customer communication.

What a great tool! You're explanation really explained how helpful it would be. Also, what a great way to communicate your support services to others.
Cindy-
Great Hub. How is the deliverability of emails compared to Icontact or Aweber?

Thank you for your comments, Dan. I've never used Aweber, but I know iContact is excellent for deliverability of emails. I haven't had any problems with Oprius. It's so easy for me to use. I actually called them and had them tell me the difference between their company and a competitor. The Oprius staff was honest and praised the other company too. They are all a little different and we choose what works best for us.
Aloha and thank you,

I currently use aweber, however Oprius looks great having
the ability to create your own capture pages
