66Some prospective satellite tv customers (especially those vying for Dish Network) are unaware that ordering from a retailer will give you a better deal. When you want to order your DishNetwork package where is the first place you go to ?
Dish Network of course. But, as I mentioned above, the majority of you do not know that you can get a free gift with your order. You get all the usual stuff; free installation, free equipment, no shipping fees, etc. However, ordering your package from www dishnetwork com will not get you the free gift. What are these gifts then, you may be asking yourself ? Try this; iPod Shuffle, Home Theater System, VISA debit card with $50 preloaded in it, or a portable DVD player with a 7-inch screen. Is there a catch ? No, there isn't, and there are no extra fees whatsoever. However, you must promise to do one thing. You have to commit to a 24-month contact (easy) and be a customer for at least one month. After you receive your first bill all you have to do is call in to a number provided by your retailer, select your gift, and it will be sent to you. Some reatilers will even give you an airline ticket !
Why do retailers give out free gifts ? Well, I guess it's a way of saying, "Thank you for your business." Besides that, Dish Network has been ranked highly for customer satisfaction. Why not entice new customers with something free on top of their order for the best in home entertainment ?

Thanks for the info. Direct TV doesn't give out gifts like the Dish Network. It's a selling point when trying to decide between the two.

I really wish DishTV would have had that offer when I subscribed. But, I did subscribe over the phone, bundling it with my phone and internet. That is a really good deal, and to get the free gift would have be great! We took advantage of having it in four rooms. I love DishTV. Every once in awhile I call to see if they have a better deal going and sometimes they do.

Good bit of info, this is something I wouldnt think of. I would normally order thru the provider like DishNetwork. Do you find these gifts are offered on other services/products that you get direct but go thr a store?
