Previously, the only way to know whether one can donate organs or not is via their driver's license card that shows permission to donate. If you want to register for organ donation either you have to call your local agencies or register in their websites. Now, there is a novel and easy way to register for organ donation via iPhone through "Donate Lives" application developed by Serenity Integration.

Serenity Integration got this idea after seeing a post from the New York Times article by Richard H. Thaler, who announced this latest iPhone app.

You can download this free "Donate Lives" iPhone application here (iTunes Link).

If you don't have an iPhone you can register for organ donation via Donate Life America website here. If you live outside the US, please contact your local agencies which might have similar registration process for organ donation.

I will be testing this application soon; I will post the results as soon as they are available.

Do the right thing, organ donations saves lives.

Hooo booy. How generous can you get? :) Anyway, from what I hear, organ donation can be scary.

BeatsMe, since we are donating after death, there is nothing to worry. One of my friend died recently of kidney failure, he was waiting for three years but couldn't get one.
