Kitchen

Instead of purchasing different cleaning products to be used on floor, stove, oven, sink, pots and other kitchen items use instead vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice and salt to get the cleaning done. You can make various cleaning pastes and solutions by simply mixing some of these household ingredients.

Kitchen Floors (hardwood, linoleum, tile)- Mix white vinegar with hot water in a ½ cup to 1-gallon ratio.

Oven - Mix 1 tablespoon each of baking soda and salt and add 1/2 cup of hot water. Apply the mixture to the oven and heat it slightly. After cooling down, wipe it with a cloth or a rag

Refrigerator – To deodorize, simply put an open box of baking soda on the fridge.

Dishwashing – Mix ¾ water and ¼ lemon juice. Put it on a spray bottle.

Sink - Combine salt and baking soda in equal amount for scrubbing.

Bathroom

Bathroom Glass Cleaner- In a spray bottle, make a mixture of 1 tablespoon white vinegar and about ¼ gallon of water. You can add a small amount of rubbing alcohol for removing oily fingerprints and hairspray. Then, wipe it using a rag, preferably linen.

Bathroom Floors- Mix ½ cup of vinegar with 1-gallon of hot water. Same with the mixture made for kitchen floors, it can be applied on hardwood, linoleum and tile.

Toilet Bowl – Measure ¼ cup baking soda and sprinkle it on toilet bowl. Then slowly pour ¼ cup of white vinegar. Scrub the toilet bowl.

Living Room

Living rooms, we can say, are the most exposed part of any house. Visitors are received there and it is always the first room stepped into by anybody. The exposure that this part of the house receives makes it a high-cleaning priority.

For a pleasant smell, citrus oil is added to the already mentioned group of organic cleaning products used in kitchen and bathroom cleaning.

Wood Floors – For cleaning and polishing, mix 1 cup of citrus oil and 1 gallon of hot water

Fixtures - Dissolve 2 tablespoon of baking soda in ¼ gallon of water. Use this to clean stainless steel, chrome, fiberglass, ceramic, porcelain or enamel fixtures.

Wooden Furniture – Squeeze 1 lemon and mix its juice with 1 teaspoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon water. Apply the mixture on wooden surface and wait for a 5 minutes. Polish the surface using a cloth.
