Why Change to an Organic Mattress?

Using an organic mattress is a healthier choice. Due to the fact that they are made with organic materials, there are no pesticides or harmful dyes to inhale which can reduce allergies. Dyes may be absorbed into your body.

Instead of using layers of foam coated in flame resistant chemicals, an organic mattress is filled with fibers that contain natural flame resistant properties, like wool. Also, Organic mattresses last longer than the mattresses that are made with innerspring coils and foam. This is because the natural latex and natural rubber used in making the mattresses are more durable and can withstand more activity.

Are organic mattresses better for babies and children?

There are no chemicals or harsh dyes used in the making of organic mattresses which makes them safer for babies and children. Because people are becoming more aware of how badly chemicals affect the human body, organic crib mattresses are coming into a much higher demand.

Non organic mattresses use chemicals such as:

  • Antimony
  • Arsenic
  • Phosphorous

These chemicals are used to make the materials fire resistant. These chemicals emit toxins that can be lethal for a baby. It has been found that antimony actually is absorbed through the skin of the child into his or her body. You as a parent will have less to worry about in regards to how your child’s body is affected by using an organic mattress.
