Contrary to the pay per click (PPC) method of driving traffic into your website, organic search engine optimization is a low-cost method of generating targeted traffic. It is a natural method of boosting the visibility of a website in natural search results, especially the ones from the biggest search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

Majority of the Internet users go to those free search engines in order to find sites that contain information that they need. Organic search engine optimization is about making sure that your web pages contain those long tail keywords that Internet users are most likely to use in order to find your website. The placement of those keywords in your titles and in the body of your articles would make a difference in your rankings. But, be sure that they are not all over the place, and your contents should be informative.

Another way of naturally optimizing your site is increasing the link popularity of your site. The methods being used are directory submission and article submission. Another way is exchanging links with other webmasters. These methods definitely help, but one of their advantages is that it may take a long time before your submissions and requests get approved, or they may get rejected.

These days, however, website owners are more into creating blogs relating to their sites. What they do is use their keywords in their entries and provide links leading to their niche websites. There are also online content publishing sites that can help you with your backlinks, and good examples are HubPages and Squidoo.

The method that is creating a very loud noise nowadays, however, is social bookmarking. Through social bookmarking, you create instant backlinks for your sites and pages by submitting the URLs of your contents (Web pages, blog entries, Hubs, Lenses) to social bookmarks services like Delicious, Digg, Propeller, and StumbleUpon, among others. These sites are ranked highly by Google, so having your contents linked to them is definitely a big advantage for you. In order to make your sites and pages to get indexed faster, you need to ping your social bookmarks URL to the top blog search engines. This process can be done faster by using a social bookmarking URL pinging software.

Through organic search engine optimization, you do not have to utilize spamming methods. This way, you will not be sanctioned by the search engines, or worse, banned. This ensures that your good rankings are long-term, which must be one of your goals as an online business person.

Reaching Google's page one is everybody's dream, at least, the people who wanted to get known--and earn--on the internet. Organic SEO plus social bookmarking are good combinations. And the only investment you have to splurge on is your time. Thank you for sharing.
