64Organic traffic represent 80% of all clicks. Is it goodbye paid click concepts like Pay Per Click (PPC)? I got this stat from a Yesup Search Engine Marketing brochure. It said 80% of organic traffic represents over all traffic. This means that any paid program like Google AdWords may represent 20%. Every other program or ad program may get the crumbs. We all know Google AdWords rules this industry. One needs to wonder if the idea of pay per click will eventually fall off of everyone’s marketing radar. Will organic traffic generated by modern search engine optimization eventually take over? I prefer this traffic for a number of reasons: 1. Outside of the time needed to invest in developing your site’s infrastructure, the traffic you generate is your own. It is of the highest quality possible as these people come to you. If your traffic is compelling or even highly valued, people will want to opt into your email newsletter. 2. Pay per click can be expensive and very high risk for any small medium enterprise. As a result, I don’t recommend it unless you have oodles of money sitting somewhere. I am not saying it does not work, but organic traffic is much more valued. 3. Pay per click campaigns can also be risky depending on your landing page’s offer. You may need to spend a lot of money to experiment with the response. As for organic marketing, you never need to worry about this as you can use something Google Analytics to figure that out. 4. Organic marketing takes time to see the long term of effects of it. Time must be invested to see the benefits of it. You also must have a community-based type of site where people can engage by posting comments. 5. Lastly, organic marketing is not a short pop effect like pay per click. This means, you need to spend money to generate traffic. Once your paid campaign is done, so is the traffic. Over the long term, as Google eventually values and trusts your site, you will see more and more traffic naturally come in which leads to a longer term effect of building a solid and loyal customer base. 6. Do realize you must always be above aboard as per Google’s indexing rules. If not, you will get your site banned that leads you to throwing out both theories on organic traffic vs. pay per click.
