Get Organized and De-clutter Your Life

For over 17 years, I've been helping people get organized, freeing their minds and spirits from the heavy load that clutter creates. It's not in impossible task. It only requires a bit of commitment and maintenance for 15 minutes per day.

Here are a few tips you can start with right away:

  1. Spend 5 minutes a day opening your mail. Shred what you can, file what you need to file and take action if need to. Don't put papers back in the envelope - they will only pile up on your desk and cause you stress
  2. Spend 5 minutes putting your clothes away EVERY day. Hang'em, fold'em, clean'em. If they're lying in piles, chances are you need to purge. Purging can take 1 hour on your weekend and you can open up lots of space.
  3. 5 minutes per day for general maintenance - Wash the dishes in the sink. Put away a couple of things. Do a load of laundry.

Follow these guidelines and over time, you will get your life back.

By the way; if you don't have a file cabinet, please do yourself an incredible favor - get one, a good one!

This is a smart Hub. I enjoy articles on organization as it is my 'livelyhood'.

I have found that Video Gaming fallsinto the laps of children early (my son started justbefore tunring 7) and almost never ends (I'm 38 and still rockin' the Game Cube). Unfortunately, this means consoles, games and cables strewn about the Kid's Room until he's ordered (forced!) to clean it up!

We've created a handsome and easy way to keep all of that video game-age neat and orderly. See here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Video-Game-Storage
