Why organize your personal affairs
I would like to speak about the importance of organizing your personal affairs. It's known that we will all pass away someday. No matter how much we exercise, or how well we eat, there's no escaping death. It would be nice to live forever but it's not going to go down like that in this lifetime. Many of us have families to provide for and to take care of. When we pass away, it would be nice if our families already knew what our wishes were and just simply had to carry them out. Instead, many families end up arguing over tiny little details that could have been taken care of beforehand. For example, a parent that has passed away may have wished to be cremated. One family member might want to have a Christian burial while another member of the family might want a cremation. Wouldn't it be simple to have a document stating what you want. You could state where you want to be buried, who you want to deliver your eulogy, who you would like as your pall bearers, what songs you want played among other detailed. Afterall, it will be the celebration of your life. Why not take the responsibility and plan it the way you want to be remembered. If you plan on donating any organs, let it be known. Don't tell one member of the family and have everyone get upset when he or she has some of your organs donated. Put it in writing and let the family know what your wishes are. This way no one can argue over what it is that you would have wanted. Do your family a favor and organize your personal affairs so you can save them the rift and the raft and allow them to remember you and grieve without fighting over the details.
