Hospice of the Comforter

The Hospice of the Comforter has been serving the greater Orlando area since 1990, including the Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties.

We are greatly committed to the care, pain control, and palliative management of our patients and their families. Our hospice offers emotional, physical, and spiritual care for those with an incurable illness. The low patient to staff ratio means you and your loved one receives the attention they need, whether it be from a physician, nurse, chaplain, home health aide, nursing assistant, counselor, social worker, or volunteer.

Call Hospice of the Comforter at 407-682-0808 and we can help decide if a hospice is right for you.

When is it time for a Hospice?

Hospice patients are certified by a physician to have 6 months or less prognosis for an incurable or life-limiting illness. Patients who live longer receive hospice are for as long as they need.

How to Begin Hospice Services

Hospice of the Comforter accepts referrals from physicians, but friends, family, or the patient are welcome to make a call to discuss whether or not the patient is appropriate for hospice services.

The patient must be in the Orlando area, which includes Seminole, Osceola, and Orange counties.

When calling Hospice of the Comforter and speaking with a referral nurse, she will ask the patient's diagnosis, current condition, primary physician information, and insurance information. At Hospice of the Comforter, insurance will not stand in the way of getting a patient the proper care.
