71Library Redact Repository
G.W,Bush Presidential Library Redact Repository: sponsored by Capitol Comics joint capitalist venture with U.S.of A administration legacy illusion. Proposal and design by Capitol Comics( purported to be a presidential favored literature) while funding open to speculation as reported by our town prattlers. Some attribute it to unnamed Washington insiders and corroborated by unnamed political pundits. Town's people question and ruminate on its merit.
Capitol Comics design similar to Gothic Cathedral with a portico walled with wire racks stuffed with for sale Capitol Comics, both retro and current issues. There is the claim that in the great hall suspended from its vaulted ceiling hang for sale T shirts, one size fits all and not unlike policy. Assorted statements printed,"bring it on","wanted dead or alive", and trust me "I speak with God",etc.. What law and order patriot would not be proud wearing presidential words? Pop culture remembrance at its best value,no? You can lead the unwashed masses to a sale but you can not lead them to water- class consciousness truism. One town person claims to have read the aforementioned truism while exiting exurbia after delivering sundry items. True, town folk do conjecture, exaggerate, and report fact ; one must ferret out the truth for themselves. Town talk is not cheap when the commodity is political or social fruit.
An old town's women did say to me that she felt like an immigrant in her native land. When asked her why, her reply was "each following generation's metamorphic progress cancerate traditional value and identity. Her grand daughter present at the time exclaimed, "my grandmother has come to that ossification age, senior citizen/ non-relevant person". Here is the rub; merit or hubrism in a legacy presidential library/redact repository or simple ancient Pharaoh's Tomb modernized?
A fixed above the entrance into the great hall is the sign and Capitol Comics logo. Nothing new in pop culture as evident by there presence in stadium, civic centers, and our schools. "For profit" image stands tall and perhaps ubiquitous one day in our pubic forum. Its image to dominate all public values! Shall our small town philosophers, ideologues, rumor mongers, or prattlers be compelled to buy or sell opinion, theory, or simple thought with the coin of the realm? Must the capitalist coin(for profit) prevent character assassination and/or ostracism's abysmal pit? The answer rest with small town individuals.
It is this retold story by town individuals we return. One in town has claimed to have viewed a virtual rendition produced by Capitol Comics. One exits portico and enters the great hall with its numerous chambers off to both sides. Chambers designated DOD,DOJ,NAS, etc. containing redacted policy documents. Each chamber aglow from light emanating from super patriot lantern, bearing inscription"classified national security". A page at the entrance to guide you. Embedded in the chamber walls are image and sound recorders to police citizens in the patriotic effort to aid in the "war on terrorism"-all are suspect. In the great hall stands a titan statue of reputed expense in its center space. A likeness to G.W. himself with a banner that reads "Mission Accomplished" held in hands with arms fully extended. The grand perception of reality perceived by fanciful minds. "Hail to the Chief" in its redundancy fill the great hall. An image so unforgettable that Capitol Comics considered a comic book featuring this image as a sequel issue to a salute to Mr. President issue. In the planing stage for later publication is the wedding of fundamentalism and corporate capitalism. Its featured mystery shall be the wedding ring worn by the "market's phantom hand" ; this issue is tentative and determined on previous sales.
We the unwashed masses carry on our backs pop culture or AKA the buying and selling of the American dream. Small town prattle helps relieve its painful embrace. Our local discourse search for merit and meaning in a comical library/redact repositoty-"mission accompliced".
