Tragedy strikes our country once again. Today in Texas at Fort Hood as our military prepared for deployment they fell under attack. People stood outside the main gate today as they waited for word of loved ones inside. Parents clinging to each other as small children were in lock down on the base while still in childcare or school. A woman histerically tries to reach her husband, Sargeant Darren Cain, who was still on the base. The questions have been raised and suspicions heightened. Why? Who? Was he acting on his on? Are we under attack again, infilitrated from the inside? The result of a rampage by the mental health military doctor going to be deployed again ended in 12 dead and 31 injured. What a tragedy. These wonderful men sacrificed their lives no questions ask. Whether we agree with the war or not we are in it. If this really was a terrorist attack and your not in favor of the war, its time to wake up. We can't talk to these people anymore. I do not know if this man was a muslim terrorist or not, but they are investigating. They believe he may have been a convert to muslim, this would explain his name, Major Nadel Malik Hasan. He had also recieved a bad review from the previous base that he was stationed at. Also others claimed that he was very angered that Obama was planning on sending more soldiers. Whatever inflamed his anger, it ended in such tragedy. In the end the shooter also lost his life. Do we find sympathy for a man that killed his fellow service men and/or women? As a christian I have compassion for his soul, but at the same time this man ended the life of devoted, wonderful and unselfish people. I can't have sympathy for that. They had families. I guess it didn't matter to him it was reported he had no children and was not married.

Before I get flooded with ugly comments let me say. I believe that there are good and bad in every religion. The ones that take things to the wrong extreme. Even in christianity we have had history of extremist killing in the name of God. However, it is hard to trust anyone that claims to be muslim, because you never can tell who really is the "peaceful" muslim. Our country has suffered so much at the hands of such extremist it is just hard to except they are not all after the same thing. Then, I have to think I am a Christian and Jesus died for them also, and I do not like to be grouped with the severe extremist of christianity who have killed in the name of God. God also gives us wisdom through discernment to determine the trustworthy.

Will Obama make an appearance or has he? Will he try to speak words of comfort to the families or a rehearsed, prewritten speach? Heartfelt words Mr. President please. I pray that President Obama will do something to get to the bottom of this investigation. These were and are our protectors and they deserve the best from the country they protect. So far our President has not been very supportive of our military. I pray he gets on board at this point, afterall they protect him and his family also.

Pray for our country, our military and our continued strength as a country.

Update:   Hasan survived the shooting he caused.  They are trying to blame it on him being picked on about his belief and post dramatic stress (has never been deployed by the way). Hasan was acting out of the name of Muslim. He was heard shouting anti-american words as he went on his tyrant. He was also seen passing out the Quaran and wearing his muslim attire the morning of. He also gave away all of his belongings before he killed in the name of Allah. They have had 6 months worth of warnings and did nothing! Hasan had also blogged praising suicide bombings. Last but not least Obama showed no sorrow or remorse for the American soldiers. Why would he? He has stated that he would not wear the American flag pin, which supports the 9/11 families of the attacks. It took him 3 minutes into a speech to even mention this massacre. Once again NO support for our military...
