Outdoor Recreation on Hubpages
Outdoor recreation is a great way to bond with friends and family. As a child I was able to go fishing and boating and I really enjoyed those times. There is no question that this recreation allows you an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to really find beauty in a world that is often times not so beautiful because of the actions of mankind.
For many hunting is controversial. I have always felt that if a person hunts for food then there is nothing wrong with that. It is the hunters and poachers who take animals for minor body parts like tusks or racks that infuriate me. Most hunters like Ducks Unlimited are the primary financial protectors of the habitat. They are very valuable members of society who preserve the species at considerable cost to themselves. I don't aim to solve the controversy here but want to show you some great hubs about the outdoors!
