If you feel lazy about doing something, a very simple technique is to work in short bursts.
Whenever I want to do something and feel it will take too long, or might be too difficult, then I make excuses or avoid doing it. So in order to overcome this problem, I decide that I will do that work for only a few minutes then I will leave it.
Then it won't be hard for me to motivate myself to do that task for a few minutes. After all I am not trying to complete the whole task in one sitting. So I decide to do it for 10 minutes or so.
After 10 minutes are up, I leave it off or continue if I so desire. Even when I quit the task after 10 minutes are up, atleast I have progressed a little and had done the task to some extent.
So Stop Being Lazy Now - I have given you the cure for laziness
Later on again I would work for 10-15 minutes on that task. Like this I complete the task in short bursts of 10-15 minutes without much fuss. However if I try and force myself to do it all at one time, I usually would not be able to motivate myself and who knows the task might never have been finished.
So if you feel lazy about doing something, this is a very simple technique to overcome laziness. Just do that thing for few minutes and quit. Most of us wouldn't find it so hard to do something for a short time even if we hate the task or find it very difficult. Still we usually won't shy away from it as its just a matter of few short minutes.
Try out this technique. I have found it very effective in overcoming laziness and procrastination. It is a very good tip for us lazy folks to get something accomplished without much difficulty to us.
