If you are new to Oxford, Mississippi and want to know about the bar scene on the square   then you are in the right place.  Real estate on the square is expensive and hard to find.    Most of the business are restaurants, bars, banks, or clothing stores.  Some of the bars on   the square are City Grocery, Burgundy Room, Blind Pig, Parrish Baker Pub, Rooster's, the   Lyric, The Library, 208, Proud Larry's, Pearl Street Pasta, The Rib Cage, Murphs, Two   Stick, Jubilee, and there are a few others that change names or owners every once in a   while.  The rumors are that Downtown Grill is closing and 6 months later a Char will open   in its place.  Most bars in Oxford are for 21 year olds and up, although The Library has   the middle section that allows in 18 and up.
