Are You Ready To Make A Commitment To Fitness?

first learned of this product on a TV infomercial, which lets you know exactly what you get. The DVD's are great, and come in a small case, for easy storage, and all the written material that comes with it.

The drawback is that I was really out of shape and in order to use this correctly, I had to go backwards a bit by getting the Tony Horton's "Power Half-Hour". I needed to use that for the first few weeks to get myself up to the level where I could gain the most benefit form the P90X Extreme.

Once you get started on this home fitness program, you will be making a long term commitment, not only in your physical endurance, but your time. The workouts are not easy and they are long, however, not boring! You won't be listening to anyone like Richard Simmons, or some cheerleader giving you a pep-talk, or you won't be forced to watch and listen to the obnoxious gym rats.

The workouts are an hour long, but are "chunked out" into segments, showing a progress bar for you to see on the screen, similar to that on the computer. You are in control of your pace in your workout, so you are not competing with anyone else but yourself. The workouts are challenging, will keep you on your feet and off your couch, and you will definitely get in better shape by following this program.

Pros:

  • Workouts are long and hard, but engaging
  • Tony has a great attitude and sense of humor
  • Segment timer
  • Workouts divided into segments
  • Progress bar
  • Program includes men and women of various degrees of fitness and flexibility
  • This is for the person who really wants to get in shape

Cons:

  • Not for the beginner
  • You will be sore
  • Demands time commitment
