My P90X Review - Just Why Is This Home Fitness Program Different?
I think you will agree with me after going through the P90X program, that it is much different that other exercise programs. P90X is a complete training program and not just a bunch of tapes. Sure the 12 DVD's are an important, essential part of the program but they are far from all you get in this package.
In this P90x Review, I'll take a look at some of the different aspects that make this workout plan superior to others.
Let's Take A Look At The 12 Workouts Included In P90X
The workout sessions are central to your P90X training. They targets specific areas of your body or work your muscles and body in unique ways. When combined in the right ways, these exercise sessions can take you to levels you may never have imagined.
1. Chest and Back workout. You'll give your back and chest a thorough going over with this 50 plus minute workout that's filled with resistance training, pull ups, and push ups.
2. Plyometrics.This workout is designed to develop your athletic movements. It helps you with the fast and powerful motions you need in sports. And, it make you feel more coordinated and efficient in every day life. The P90x plyometric workout consists of over 30 explosive jumping moves. It is a fantastic way to invigorate your body.
3. Shoulders and Arms workout. This workout targets your biceps and triceps as well as your deltoid muscles.
4. Yoga X. The 'X' in Yoga X should give you a clue. This is one heck of a yoga session. The good news is that when you make it through you have really accomplished something. These yoga sessions can transform your body from head to toe.
5. Legs and Back workout. Even though it's sometime tempting tolet the muscles of your legs and back slide a bit, it's really important to give these large muscle groups the attention they deserve. Don't worry. You'll be devoting nearly an hour of lunges, squats, pulls, and more to these vital area during this exercise session.
6. The Kenpo workout.This cardio intensive workout incorporates kicks, twists, and other martial arts moves to develop your endurance and coordination. And, it's a fun workout.
7. X Stretch. With all this exercise, a day of stretching can be a real treat. You've probably never been as stretched out as you will be after this complete top to bottom stretching. Say good-bye stress and tension!
8. Core Synergistics. The core muscles of your waist, lower back, and obliques tie everything together. this workout concentrates on strengthening these important muscle groups.
9. Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps workout. Okay, time for those 'look good' muscles! You can build up your triceps, shoulders, and chest with this routine or just tone and define. It's your choice.
10. Biceps and Back workout.Choose whether you want to add size to your biceps and back or tighten and tone these areas. Just follow along with your preference.
11. Cardio X.Take care of your heart and circulatory system while exercising at safe levels of intensity. Flush away lactic acid build up in your muscles, pump oxygenated blood through your system, and increase the amount of capillaries.
12. Ab Ripper X. The abs workout is only about 15 minutes long. The catch is that it usually comes at the end of another workout! This series of exercises will strengthen and flatten that belly. You can get that 'six-pack' with these exercises and the correct nutrition strategy.
