PR Web 2.0 - Your Friend When You Appear on Rip Off Report.Com

 YOU'RE A VICTIM....

Or so it seems. It can happen easily. You put your heart and soul into your business. You get a few bad eggs in the bunch. Its time to clean house and oust them out. Thats business. The next thing you know these guys get on www.ripoffreport.com and flame your company. They stick the CEO on a spit and crank up the heat. Then they tear into your senior staff and go all out to destroy your credibility. Sounds terrible.... IT IS. and it's legal.

This is happening to a lot of companies. As the economy changes you are going to see more and more of this. The younger generation has control over new media and know how to manipulate it. But the question is what are you going to do about it?

This can happen for a number of reasons and conditions:

* Sensitive court case

* Discgruntled ex-employees

* You hired and fired a jerk

This is a problem that is going to escalate. Im not saying that the company is always in the right but as a corporation you should have a decent honest corporate image. If nothing else for the sole purpose of gaining new clients.

The reasons why this problem continues to flourish is because most companies are ill equipt to handle a flamer online. When someone goes onto the internet with the intent of destroying your credibility most companies do not know how to fight back. The results can be disasterous. Usually the company becomes the victims.

Legal Extortion
There are some Complaint Boards, Rip Off Report type web sites that go one step further. Some of these copycat sites will actually take raw source material right off www.Ripoffreport.com and create a company profile page with a sales pitch right on it and it reads... "To remove this report call now".

This is a horrendous business pratice.

I'm telling you not to give into these cretins. Don't feed the hand that is punching you in the back. I am telling you to get someone reputable that knows how search engines work. Get a real SEO, search engine optimization expert that understands viral marketing and Google to help you fight back.

PR Web 2.0 is great on several levels. It not only helps rebuilt your credibilty but it also helps you build positive links back to your corporate web site. This is going to help polish up your image online and put everything back into place.

Rip Off Report - Whos Got Scam?

 What an age we live in...  Years ago the idea of becoming famous was pretty much laughable. Then again, back then we only had three tv stations to look at. LIfe was something that usually happened to someone else far far away. Becoming a legend in ones own time was something that only happened in the movies.

My times have changed.

Now, you can become famous without even trying. If you are really careless you could even end up on the notorious RIP OFF REPORT. http://www.ripoffreport.com is one terrible web site. This is only matched by its partners, (one could assume these are partners) at the mirror site called Complaint Board. Both of these sites are identical. This has actually attracted negative publicity from Google. Yet, even though these sites are pretty much the same content, Google has not taken any action to remove them from the web.

Despite the violations and complaints of thousands of companies these sites continue to spew half truths and flat out lies in most cases. It is an anarchistic web site that allows anyone to say anything at anytime without repurcussion.

Partner sites pop up and claim to be able to remove the negative material for a hefty fee. How hefty you may ask? Its pretty doggoned hefty! I have to wonder if these sites are real or not.

Are these sites real? Or are they from the same imagination who stole the content from Rip Off Report and Complaint Board. These sites are very much the same.

Unfortunately the only real way to get rid of a rip off report is to pay someone to knock them down on the search engines.This can be effective overall...... Since over 95% of the people that use search engines never go past the first page. 

I wouldn't pay RIp Off Report the outrageous fee's they demand. I would hire a street fighter who has some SEO experience and a solid PR ability.

Google needs to wake up and take care of creeps like this. The scene has gotten out of hand and is being run by some real desperados.

The Garbage Parade - When Slander Goes 2.0

Corporate drones love to dish the dirt. I am talking about the caged zombies called employees. This becomes a problem when you want to set a positive corporate image. Before you know it these ill fitted malcontents can totally tank your company... dude.

There are two sides to every story. I do not advise that everyone divide up in two hate camps. I believe that a company should work together. But the age of web 2.0 certainly makes it easy to vent.
