Know your trees. Make note of naturally growing trees in your area as they are the best to grow without a fuss. Encourage children to grow trees. Educate them with the knowledge of what trees will do to benefit the environment, teach them the value of trees and their uses.

Did you know that some trees take up ground water, while others are ‘selfish’ trees that don’t allow undergrowth? Find out the species of trees that will suit your environment best; whether it will benefit the soil, or take from it. Trees that are nitrogenous are good to grow to improve soil, but take care if it does not generate nitrogen it will ‘borrow’ from its surrounding neighbors which is not good.

Get together with your community and plan a project to grow as many trees to save our planet. We certainly must do all in our power and more to bring awareness and motivate as many to grow as many trees to absorb the ill effects of the pollutants in the environment.
