I've always been a proud American, I am proud of our military. I am grateful for the opportunities this country has given me and others. I've always believed that if we didn't stand for something we would fall for anything. The following You Tube political ad sent chills throughout my body and brought tears to my eyes. I could say much more and still could not convey effectively what this one You Tube ad has,

Growing up in school we said the Pledge of Allegiance, I was proud because I felt a part of something bigger, something great.

We sang songs like "God Bless America"; "America", "Star Spangled Banner", "My Country Tis of Thee". I am Proud to be an American.

We read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, we learned about the branches of Government & how they worked.

We Study our history, a great history of overcoming, righting wrongs, our leaders some great, some ordinary all interesting.

We had heroes, we respected those who were successful. We appreciated their success, they showed us we could be successful, they created jobs, invented products that enhanced our lives, contributed to our communities. I am Proud to be an American.

Most Americans have not travelled outside of the United States, they've not lived in another country. I have and I am so grateful that I was born here. America isn't perfect, nor would I want it to be. I am proud to be an American. Are you?
