PRWEB Bought for $28 Million by Vocus
56PRWEB $20 Million in Cash and $8 in Stock
PRWEB gained popularity when links for search engines took off. At the same time they put some decent distribution deals in place to work with lots of news agencies like Yahoo News.
Today, it was reported that Vocus purchased the company for $28 million bucks. This seems like a good deal for the Washington based company and maintains a current trend with internet acquisitions with regards to the price. Lot's of sub $50 million dollar deals.

The acquisition makes a lot of sense for Vocus that specializes in PR software. It also feels a little cheap with the reach of PRWeb and the fact that it's mentioned in just about every SEO book out there.
Congratulations to the PRWeb team.
