Pacemaster Pro Plus
82The Pacemaster Pro Plus is an treadmill that equals terms as high quality, well built, durable and functional. Aerobic Inc. is the manufacturer of the Pacemaster Treadmills. In comparison to most other treadmill manufacturers Pacemaster Treadmills are produced in the United States. Aerobic Inc. has been around for approximately 45 years now and they have the leading technology inside. While most manufacturers have production overseas, american design and manufacturing is where Pacemaster Pro Plus Treadmills stand for. No cheap parts or cheesy warranties. Pacemaster Treadmills have a twelve year guarantee on their motor, five year on the parts, one year labor and lifetime warranty on the frame. Who want good old american quality needs Pacemaster Treadmills. It's obvious why Pacemaster received the highest praises from customers, editors and service professionals in the past years.
Pacemaster Pro Plus
The Pacemaster Pro Plus is one of two best selling machines out of the big range of products from Pacemaster. The other Treadmill is the Pro Plus HR that have a heart rate feature. Except from the missing heart rate feauture the Pacemaster Pro Plus gots excellent features. I will give my opinion on each of it's features.
Pacemaster Pro Plus Features
- The treadmill is a light weight in his field, only 160 pounds. In no way does this make it shaky or unstable. The machine has long side rails that give a secure feeling. You do not need to worry about losing your balance here.
- The tread belt is 54 inches long by a wide of 18 inches. That is all the space you need to run on.
- The tread belt is driven by a 2.5 Horse Power continuous duty motor. The noise of the engine is a little bit to loud in the opinion of customers. I did not think that the sound of the engine was annoying but it is something to listen to when considering buying a Pacemaster Pro Plus Treadmill.
- Distance, time, speed, incline, and calories burned are perfectly readable on the electronic display.
- There are two preset training programs: a fourthy minute Fat Burn and Endurance program and a thirthy minutes Cardio and Interval Training. If you do not like the preset programs you can easily override the system by the quick start and manual options. The treadmill has a learning function that wil memorize your preferences.
- With 12 miles an hour you can run a lot faster then is possible on many other machines.
- The inclination of the machine has a maximum of 15%. You can burn a lot of calories on 15%.
- The machine is not foldable. Make sure you have enough space available (29 inches by 69 inches) in your home. Foldable treadmill have a shorter life expectancy than unfoldable treadmill. If you have the space available an unfoldable treadmill is the better buy.

Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum
The newest models that Pacemaster currently haves are the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum models. They all come with the warranty we could expect from Pacemaster. Each model comes with a 3.0 horse power continuous duty engine made by McMillian. The motor delivers an astonishing elevation of 1000 lb. The incline of the Pacemaster Treadmill goes up to 15%.
They increased their tread belt to 20 inches by 54 inches (Bronze and Silver) and to 20 inches by 60 inches (Gold and Platinum).
Another improved feature is the number of program available on the Pacemaster Treadmill. There are 5 heart rate programs, 3 custom programs and 7 other programs to work you in shape. The newer models have sturdy, stable frame that can handle a user weight of 400 lb. If you think about it makes sense because the customer who buys a treadmill uses it to loose weight. 400 lb. is hundred more than the standard 300 lb. that the 'regular' treadmill haves.
The older Pacemaster Treadmill and Pacemaster Pro Plus II models were not foldable and therefor not very convienent for people with no to little space. The Bronze, Silver and Platinum models cannot be folded away, the Gold Model is foldable if you are willing to pay some extra money for it. As you can see the newer Pacemaster models improved a lot from the Promaster Pro Plus.
In my opinion the Pacemaster treadmills is a good investment in your life. If budget is your least concern a Gold or Platinum Treadmill is the best buy. You will have all a sturdy, solid machine and a extra long tread belt, it is a treadmill that offers high performance components and advanced electronic features. If you are serious about running and working out, you can not go wrong by buying a Pacemaster Treadmill!
