Pacquiao and Cotto's "Firepower Showdown
As expected, The Filipino champ, Manny Pacquiao easily made the weight limit on the "Firepower" showdown with Puerto Rican champion, Miguel Cotto on November 14, Saturday (November 15, Sunday in Manila) at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Manny didn't had a hard time to reach the weight limit. This is the heaviest weight ever for Manny, after he fought the legendary Oscar De la Hoya, in which he officially weighed 142 lbs.
On the other hand, the welterweight champion, Miguel Cotto officially tipped the scale at exactly 145 lbs. The natural 147 lbs. boxer was reported having struggles meeting the stipulated weight, and reportedly had to go on a diet to get down in 145 lbs.
Pacquiao reportedly plan to enter the ring at around 149 lbs. and trying to catch the seventh title and make a history in the boxing career. While Cotto is trying to enter the ring heavier than Pacquiao and will prevent Manny in getting the welterweight belt and in making the world record of having seven titles in different divisions.
And now the showdown is finally official. On Saturday, November 14 (Sunday, Nov.15 in Manila), the toughest fight ever of the year will surely rock the world. The eagerness of both great boxer makes people more excited of what's gonna be the fight on Saturday night.
The people are now have their own bet about the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight. But this doesn't bother Manny and Cotto. What's important is the night is between them. What ever happens on November 14, I'm sure all people who will watch the fight will definitely enjoy the night because this is gonna be the greatest fight of the year.
