Panasonic has announced a new range of Diga DVR (Digital Video Recorders) to be available in September.

 Six models have been announced by Panasonic, with both a Blu-ray recorder (the DMR-BW970) and a VHS player (DMR-BR670V) and storage capacities of 320 GB, 500 GB 1TB, 2TB All these new DVR will be able to record TV to high definition MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 with a flow rate of 12.9 Mbps. They will also play Blu-ray and HD audio formats (DTS-HD and Dolby True HD).

At the top of the range is therefore on the DMR-BW970, DMR-successor of BW930 offering, in addition to 320 hours of its hard drive 2TB of storage capacity on BD-RE / BD-R / DVD -RAM / DVD-R / DVD R DL / DVD-RW, an HDMI output, an SDHC card slot and DLNA compatibility.
