How much do you love pancakes?  If you ever eat breakfast and if you like cake, you probably like pancakes.  They are quite delicious.  The only problem with them is that they aren't so simple to make.

If you want to make pancakes, you have to measure out all the ingredients, mix up the batter, pour it on a pan, cook, and flip.  It's a pretty involved process and it takes a lot longer than it does to pour a bowl of cereal or make a piece of toast.

Well, if you like to make pancakes but you don't link that it takes forever, you should use pancake mixes.  What's so great about pancakes mixes?  Well, first of all, you cut down the overall time to make pancakes a lot which as I just mentioned is pretty long. 

Second, it's just that much easier.  You don't have to measure anything out which actually takes quite a bit of time.  You don't have to take out the measuring cups and use two bowls to mix the wet and dry ingredients separately.  All you have to do is measure the wet ingredients, which is usually just milk, eggs, and oil and is sometimes only water.  Then, you just mix it into the mix and you have your powder.

Mixes are also great because they are nearly foolproof.  It's just a matter of mixing, so you really don't have to worry about messing it up.  They even have the kind that you get a jug, pour in some water, shake it up, and that's it.  You don't even need a bowl for that!

Pancake mixes also make great gifts.  Sometimes you need to get a gift for someone you barely know or someone that has everything.  The best kind of gift for this person is food.  You don't have to worry about getting them something they won't like that they will just end up regifting.  As long as they like pancakes, they'll eat it and it's gone.  They don't have to worry about finding a place for it or having it mismatch anything.

GIving pancake mix as a gift is so easy.  Just buy some mix or make your own and fill a couple jars.  Throw it in a pretty basket with a bottle of real maple syrup, and that's it!  I don't know about you, but I would really love a gift of pancake mix!

Pancake mix is great.  There's no doubt about it.  Sometimes you might just want to make them from scratch because you are in the mood, but any other time, why not just make things simple?

Making your own pancake mix might sound like your defeating the whole purpose of having pancake mix.  It's not as long as you do it right.  If you make pancake mix and then cook them up 5 minutes later, you are essentially just making pancakes.

If you want to make your own mix, it is very easy.  Just find your favorite pancake recipe.  Measure out all the dry ingredients, mix them together, and put it all into a pretty jar.  Use a mason jar with a nice piece of cloth in the top to make it extra special.  Next, take the recipe and write it on the jar but exclude the dry ingredients and the dry ingredients mixing part and just instruct them to mix the wet ingredients into the mix. 

You can do this with just about any pancake recipe.  You could even throw in some nuts or chocolate chips to make it taste extra special.  There are also pancake mix recipes out there as well if you want to make it even easier.

Attach the recipe card to the jar, give it as a gift, or store it away in the cupboard for a day you want to make pancakes, and enjoy them!
