Panic Attacks

As many people may already know panic attacks are the same as anxiety attacks, no any difference between the two terms which are often used to describe an extreme feeling of fear and fore bounding. Patients suffering from panic attacks often feel a pressing urge to "rush", "run away", "get away","get out" and escape to safety.

Panic attacks are accompanied by one of the following physical symptoms : trembling, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, tightness, sweating, dizziness and nausea, rapid breathing (hyperventilation), paresthesias, tight throat, smothering or feeling of de-realization.As many people may already know panic attacks are the same as anxiety attacks, no any difference between the two terms which are often used to describe an extreme feeling of fear and fore bounding. Panic attack disorder (often referred to as panic disorder) affects 4% of the world’s adult and adolescents (aged 18 to 56). Recents studies (May 2008) show that over 8 million people in the U.S alone suffer from anxiety panic attacks.

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point in the live. Anxiety is usually caused by a stressful and fearful event or situation. It is when the anxiety turns persistent for longer than 3 months and restricts the individual's lifestyle when a diagnose should be given.

Panic Attacks can affect individuals psychologically, physically and spiritually. The loss of control and extreme (uncontrollable fear) is what most individuals often relate to when describing an anxiety attack.

Panic attack disorder should not be an ever-lasting condition, unfortunately some people live with it for years. If you're suffering from panic disorder you should know that it can be treated using the right information, professional help and support and regain total control of you health.

Panic attacks are normal body reactions to high stress. If you can manage to eliminate stress, worries and fear out of your life basically/theoretically you'll be totally cured! It's vital that you understand your condition and accept it, no matter the severity of your symptoms. The other rule of thumb is to try and find the root cause: "What triggers your anxiety and panic attacks?" .. Try and write down on paper.

PANIC ATTACK DISORDER:

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) best describes panic attack disorder as:

Panic disorder:

"Panic disorder is described as a sudden attack of terror, intense fear, or feelings of impending doom that strike without warning and for no apparent reason. This can be immediately followed by a number of symptoms including pounding heart, rapid heart rate, nausea, hot or cold flashes, chest pain, hands and feet may feel numb, you may be lightheaded or woozy, irrational thoughts, fear of losing control and a number of other symptoms. The peak of an attack can range anywhere between a few moments to 30 minutes or more, but the symptoms and after effects of an attack can last much longer."

Many people experience panic attacks at least once in the course of their lifetime, and it's most likely to develop in women than in men. When diagnosed early, panic attack disorders can be cured successfully, naturally and permanently. A natural treatment for anxiety and panic disorders is highly recommended, especially when patients do not respond to medication or therapies.
