Introduction

This is the first in a series of keyword analysis articles to help new internet marketers find keywords that they can use to target specific niche markets. Keyword analysis is the crucial first step to dominating any niche in affiliate marketing. Without proper keyword analysis you will literally waste time and money guaranteed. With the proper keyword analysis you will be able to find keywords that you can use to make money hand over fist in affiliate marketing without breaking a sweat.

The keyword analysis that follows will identify a small group of keywords in the Panic and Anxiety Attack niche that have High Search Volume , Low Competition, and extremely favorable SEO Competition.

What that means in plain english is that you will definitely have the opportunity to rank on the first page of Google in the top ten listings if you use these keywords effectively. At the end of this article I will give you a link to a product that you can use to exploit these keywords and start earning some residual income from affiliate checks.

Let me warn you that keyword analysis is NOT the only thing that you need to do in order to create successful affiliate campaigns, BUT it is the first necessary thing that you will have to do if you want to drive lots of Targeted FREE Traffic to your website.

With that said let’s dive into the analysis of the keywords.

Keywords

To do my keyword analysis I look at several factors. The most important factors are:

1. Total number of daily searches for all variations of a keyword - This should be 100 or greater. There is no hard and fast rule for this one. Especially if the criteria for number 2 below is met.
   
2. Number of estimated searches for the number one ranking in Google - This should be at least 50 - 80 searches. Anything below that is probably not worth the time.
   
3. Number of competing pages in Google with the exact phrase on the page - I use 50,000 competing pages or less. Some use 30,000 competing pages or less, and still other marketers set their parameters for 100,000 competing pages. I think that 50,000 strikes a nice balance. It’s not too much and not too little, it’s just right.
   
4. Estimated Adwords Cost-Per-Click for the number one Ad position in Google - this stat is important if you are focusing on Google’s Adwords. I typically like to find keywords that the advertisers is paying at least $1 or more for the top ad position. There are some keywords that I found in this niche (that you can comfortably rank for) that advertisers are paying more than $4 for at present.
   
5. And sometimes the Online Customer Intent or OCI - The OCI is something that I will take a look at, but it is not a deal breaker. The OCI basically tells you whether or not customers are using this search term to find products to buy. Sometimes it is useful and sometimes not.

Based on the above criteria I have 5 keywords that I will present to you that you can rank for in Google on the first page and in the top ten. Before I give you these keywords again I stress that you will need to do some additional work in order to make these keywords work well for you, and I’ll share what you need to do at the end of this article.

SEO Competition

The SEO competition for these keywords is very low. What that means is that the top 10 listings in Google for each keyword meet some of the following critieria:

• Low Page Rank
• Very low number of back links
• The keyword does not appear in either of the following: the page title, URL, the description, or the page header.

Monetization

You should be able to monetize these keywords by finding products on Amazon, Commission Junction, ClickBank, and PayDotCom.
