Building off the Photo Cloud sample is this 3D photo slide application. It utilises the mouse picking functionality provided by the PickableObject and PickableObjectManager classes to detect which of the sliding Picture classes has been selected by the mouse. Once selected the Picture class makes some standard Flex UI controls visible with the photo the was selected. Once the Close button is clicked the Flex UI controls fade out leaving the user free to select another photo.

This example is a good demonstration of how easy it is to build interactive 3D Flash applications using Papervision. By building off the code used in the Photo Cloud example this whole application was completed in about 90 minutes. You could easily use this example to quickly add some flair to an online photo album.
