Parallel Lives
My first novel was released to some major book stores and on-line for sale this week. I received my order from UPS while I was, alone, working in the yard. A wonderful surprise. I found I wasn't excited, happy. or nervous. I was just curious to see it in print.
After I opened the box of books and touched the first copy of my writing, I stood and gazed at the beautiful cover of purple orchids in a vase on a kitchen table. When I opened the first page, it was then, that, I smiled with pleasure of a piece of me I could leave behind when I pass from this world.
I googled my pen name, again, today..Hoping to see the book title,
"Serving up the Soul at the Kitchen Table" by Hattie Eaton.
Hattie was my grandmother's name on my mother's side and the last
name was from my father's side.
I did not find the book title or my pen name attached to the book. However, I found something very interesting.I found an obituary of a Mrs. Hattie Eaton that died this week at age 71. (God rest her soul.) I clicked on it and read about her and her family. Thinking about how lives run parallel. She died the day my novel came out, she was the same age of my mother when she died, and she lived with her daughter at the same street address as the street address I lived when I met my husband thirty-eight years ago. The street address was an unusual one but the same, just different states. She had a large family the same as I did.
Parallel lives? What does this mean? Mrs. Hattie Eaton continues to live through her extended family. That's a fact. Does Hattie Eaton continue to live when I breathe life back into my ancestors through a pen writer, Hattie Eaton?
Give me your thoughts about this issue and coincidental meeting that make you wonder about parallel lives.

First of all, congratulations on your success. Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn't. The truth is, there are mysteries in this world which we cannot explain. It would be hard to write something of this into a novel and make it believable. Hattie lives. peace CC
Interesting, this phenomenon is common to astute writers. I find when I am in the 'grove' I pick up on things, ideas, and concepts that I would normally not be aware of.
Great story and what an amazing addition to a life you have discovered... the possibilities of human energy manifesting. Create your reality... brilliant. Well done & much success with your writing! TG

The parallel is strange indeed. You may even find more if you dig into history. Good luck with your book! :)
