"Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme" Or Gardens
62
My editor has been telling me about writing contests and writing jobs that require an author to write about gardening. While I did, indeed, earn Gardening Merit Badge in scouts and come from a lineage of people who DO garden, I have not truly been interestewd in the topic for years.
Still, if it meant money, recognition or even a full-time writing job then I had to reconsider. Besides, I am constantly reminded that you never know what people will like. So here is a piece on a site that has to do with gardening. (I wonder if my favorite author, Peter David, started this way? But, I digress. . .)
Myplantluv.com is an unassuming and yet "flower"-y website for those who love plants. Included on this site is information on different types of gardens, water lilies, fertilizers, garden plants, nurseries and more.Perhaps the most recent posting here is an article discussing different kinds of plants. The green-thumbed author chooses but a few of billions of plants to focus upon in this piece. Included here are perennials such as hollyhocks, air plants like orchids and moss and common edible plants such as "fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts."Fans of ferns and groupies of gardens might wish to "slip" more than an "annual" peek at this "seedling" site: www.myplantluv.com.
So there you have it. My own version of a gardening-related article. If you are a "first time" reader and did not like it all I can say is read some of my other hubs. Hopefully, I'll. . .grow on you.
My name is Phoenix and. . .that's the bottom line.
