Passive Income - According to the IRS, Passive Income is earnings is defined as earnings an individual derives from an enterprise in which he or she is not actively involved.

My favorite explanation for passive income is something you do once and get paid for over and over again.

There are many ways to make passive income, such as --

• Rent on property
• Dividends on investment
• Residuals from advertising
• Royalties from book or music sales
• Pensions
  

All of these methods are viable and will produce a return - in time. But, with the onset of internet marketing, passive income, in real time or the possibility of this was a selling point for online marketers.

Who would not want the chance to make money while they sleep or play. Passive income pays you while you attend to other things.

This is something I had searched for and in limited ways had found. I blog, and include advertising space, and had promoted products on social networking sites, all of which brought in a little revenue.
