In light of the engineering complexity, the latter becomes particularly challenging: the dials must accommodate many extra indicators, and remain visually appealing. Patek Philippe Ladies Complicated watches include the following complications: annual calendar, moon phases and dual time. This may not seem many, but considering the size of these feminine watches (usually 31 mm in diameter), it may actually be too much to accommodate on a dial that declares style. Indeed, some of the models may appear to incorporate too much visual information. Two additional subdials on a guilloched colored dial with Roman numerals and an additional set of minute indices, overlooked by three hands (hours, minutes, and dual time hours), create a busy face that may take some time to get used to. Somehow, these watches remind me of the more talkative ladies I've had the pleasure of associating with.

The collection uses various precious metals, most often gold, and diamonds. Here the stones are given only so much space, as the dials must remain clear for the function; you will find the diamonds on the bezel and lugs in the most luxurious models. I found the most interesting precious material in the tinted mother-of-pearl: it imparts the watch with an inner glow, and constructs a certain character, depending on the color of the tint (blue, gray, brown). Several guilloched models comprise an addition to Ladies Calatrava collection, bringing it to a logical conclusion. Ladies Complicated watches come with alligator skin/satin straps, or bracelets, made entirely out of gold.
