Timing has never been better!

These days, the news is full of stories about the declining dollar, the sub-prime mortgage market, and the down-turn of the real estate market across the country. Patrick Core, a real estate broker on the island of Kauai, reports that the timing for buyers couldn't be better--especially in Hawaii.

"We're seeing a surge in the buying of high-end, luxury properties", says Core. " In fact, the market here on Kauai has seen many of our Canadian neighbors jumping into the market--a demographic we've not seen much of before. When you combine the current decline of the American dollar with the increase in flights to the island, it makes a lot of sense", continues Core.

Indeed, the market for higher end properties on Kauai has been robust. However, when buying a primary or vacation property in Hawaii, buyers need to be aware of the many twists and turns involved. Hawaii, and Kauai in particular, has many laws enacted to proctect its pristine beauty. Having a real estate professional who knows the ropes is key.

"I specialize in representing my clients in the purchases and sales of single-family residences and income property within the island of Kauai. I keep current of all transactions, laws, and developments in this area. I'm also very knowledgeable with the local schools. These are important factors for navigating through the waters here in Kauai", says Core.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Core currently reside in Princeville, on Kauai's gorgeous North Shore with his wife Heather, and two children, Christian (2) and Penelope(5). He enjoys spending time with the family, traveling, hiking, surfing, and snorkeling. "Kauai is the perfect place to live, work, and visit!"
