Paula Abdul Rumors: Blunder on American Idol
64
Ryan Seacrest blasted rumors that Paula Abdul is either a drunk, an idiot, or some freaky combination of the two, on Wednesday night's episode of American Idol. Questions about Paula's mental stability were raised on Tuesday night after the Idol judge critiqued two songs by Jason Castro when he had only performed one. (The little birdies in Paula's head got a little confused.)
"The rumors? They're not true. She's part of our family. And we love her....And I think Simon [Cowell] still wants to hook up with her," Seacrest told the Idol audience during Wednesday night's airing, which saw singing nanny Brooke White sent home.
Why the Internet would go bonkers over Paula Abdul's perpetual confusion is difficult to comprehend... just as Paula is difficult to comprehend much of the time.
Last night (April 29th) on "American Idol," Paula critiqued the singers as having sung two songs when, in fact, they had all just completed one of their two songs. She acted ditzy, confused, and not on top of things. But what's new about this? She also did her usual "get up and dance" thing, which always smacks of "Look at me! I'm dancing!"
Paula, in the line-up of three "American Idol" judges gets to be "the nice one," while Simon Cowell is "the nasty, blunt one." Randy Jackson comes down somewhere in the middle.
