The rewritten percentage is calculated by taking the difference in word count between the pre-spun and spun text, and dividing it with the word count of the spun text. You could have a rewritten percentage larger than 100% if the prespun text has twice or more words than the spun text. The point is, the higher the rewritten percentage, the more unique the spun versions will be.
